| Workshop for fine Bandoneons |
I am specialized in the restoration of classic Bandoneons in "Rheinische disposition", 142 notes bisonoric (double action), original with two reeds per note tuned in octaves. It is the typical Bandoneon in Tango and discovered instrument in modern music culture worldwide. These instruments were built in Germany, with a few exceptions, until 1939 exclusively for the export to South America. Our Bandoneons accompanied already at least one owner for an entire human life. As its original owner, also our bandoneon will survive us. As a restorer and tuner, this fact means a challenge and responsibility. As a seller, it means the task of finding for each instrument a respectful player. 5 years guarantee on my work of restoration The scope of restoration work is recorded in an offer or description with a photo documentation. The guarantee exists, if all repair and tuning work has been carried out exclusively by my workshop. In the case of external work, the guarantee can be partially or completely refused. No guarantee on durability of the tuning, behaviour of the reedvalves and the possible break of reeds. Detailed offer Before a restoration order, I will prepare a written and detailed offer after inspection. This detailed offer offers 3 options: 1 "Necessary repairs", 2 "Recommended restorations" and 3 "Maximum revision". Individual restoration results are displayed transparently in advance (see also codes). The cost and duration of the 3 options are set in advance. 5 year warranty on my restoration work. Assessment, appraisal, detailed offer (costs) 1. oral assessment: The oral assessment of the condition on the phone after sending photos is free of charge.2. Assessment: Oral assessment or short summary with recommendation by e-mail on the condition of the instrument at the time of presentation (before by mail or in person in my workshop). With photo documentation. 45 € (can be deducted when placing an order): 3. detailed offer: Exact description of the condition of the individual components such as plates & reeds, bellows, mechanics and housing. Detailed written restoration offer with transparent descriptions of either a necessary repair (mini), recommended restoration (medium) or maximum revision (maximum). With information on price and estimated restoration time. With extensive photo documentation (see also Restoration Code System) 65 € (can be deducted when placing an order) 4. Expertise: Expertise of the current market value for submission to an insurance company. With photo documentation. 55 € (for an Bandoneon already included in a restoration 30 €) For returns by post plus return postage and a packaging & handling fee of 10 €. The cost of an offer will be deducted 100% from the cost of restoration when the order is placed. If the order is less than 50% of the offer, a proportional amount will be credited. Revision tuning After complete tuning in my workshop a corrective revision tuning is included. The free correction tuning must be done within the first 6 months after receiving the instrument. The free revision tuning guaranteed, provided that all maintenance, repairs and tunings in the meantime were made from my workshop. Re-purchase option Bandoneons are so diverse and have such different characters as their players. Only if the two find to each other, the instrument will give the player unlimited possibilities. Any instrument bought from my workshop, I buy back when you buy a new Bandoneons from me. Conditions: The new instrument must be valued higher than the previous one. Applies only to Bandoneons from my workshop. Does not apply to instruments, which I offer in the name of a customer (on consignment). I take the full price into account, provided that the state of the instrument is comparable with the state when it was bought from me. Treated properly, Bandoneons have practically no wearout (except the tuning). In the case of damage (damages of the surfaces, deep scratches, chips, fracture, moisture damage), we reserve the re-evaluation of the instrument or I deduct the repair costs. The same applies to the effort of a possible retuning. The withdrawal is guaranteed, provided that all maintenance, repairs and tunings were made from my workshop. Are there repairs or tunings by others, the guaranteed withdrawal can be refused. Sale in client order I help to find a new player for your instrument and take it on commission. The commission is 15% of the selling price. The instrument will be assessed and an estimate will be made of any may necessary repairs and the current market value. Minor repairs and re-tuning of individual notes is also included in the commission. The instrument is offered with current photos on my website www.bando-bando.de. For the assessment and the presentation in front of customers, the instrument must then be in my workshop. If the owner thinks otherwise and takes the instrument back, so it does not come to a sale by me, I charge a fee of 5% of the selling price. |
