| Anhand von technischen Details am Instrument kann man Hinweise ablesen um eine grobe Einteilungen zu den Baujahren unserer Bandoneons zu machen. Hinweise gibt auch die im Instrument befindliche Produktionsnummer. ... siehe auch Artikel "Die Nummern am Bandoneon" Leider sind Dokumentationen über die Produktion unserer Bandoneons unbekannt oder verloren. Auch aus Argentinien bekommt man keine eindeutigen Belege über Importzahlen oder Verkaufszahlen. So können wir über die Menge der existierenden Exportbandoneons und der exakten Baujahre nur spekulieren. In einer Datenbank habe ich zur Zeit ca. 980 Bandoneons mit Nummern und Detailfotos dokumentiert (nur 142 oktavtönige Exportmodelle). Mithilfe dieser Datenbank kann ich vergleichend das mögliche Baujahr eines Bandoneons eingrenzen. Bandoneons mit folgenden Produktionsnummern konnte ich bislang dokumentieren: Produktionsnummern der Exportmodelle von AA, ELA und Meinel & Herold (nur 142-wechseltönig, Rheinisch) Production numbers of the exportmodels of AA, ELA and Meinel & Herold (only 142 note, bisonor, Rheinisch "Argentinean" layout)
Bei den Produktionsnummern bei Alfred Arnold fällt auf, daß es einen Block mit einstelligen bis vierstelligen gibt, einen mit fünfstelligen und den Block von ca. 1931 bis ca. 1941 mit sechsstelligen Nummern. Ich habe in der Tabelle diese Blöcke "Serie" genannt. Die Instrumente mit sechsstelliger Produktionsnummer haben neben dem Stempel der Nummer auf dem Montierboden einen Datumsstempel (siehe Foto rechts). Nehmen wir an, daß innerhalb der Blöcke die Zahlen chronologisch vergeben wurden, so können wir eine Gesamtzahl von 44.445 gebauter AA Bandoneons errechnen. Aus vielen Detailanalysen von technischen Eigenschaften kann man jedoch vermuten, daß die Nummern nicht streng chronologisch vergeben wurden.

On the basis of technical details on the instrument you can read hints to make a rough classification of the years of construction of our Bandoneons. The production number in the instrument also provides information. ... see the article "The numbers on the Bandoneon" Unfortunately, documentations about the production of our Bandoneons are unknown or lost. Also from Argentina there is no clear evidence of import figures or sales figures. So we can only speculate about the number of existing export Bandoneons and the exact years of construction. In a database I have documented about 980 Bandoneons with numbers and detail photos (only 142 octave tuned export models). With the help of this database I can compare the possible year of construction of a Bandoneon. So far I could document Bandoneons with the following production numbers (see left side). When it comes to Alfred Arnold's production numbers, it is noticeable that there is a block with one-digit to four-digit numbers, one with five-digit numbers and the block from approx. 1931 to approx. 1941 with six-digit numbers. I have named these blocks "Serie" in the table in the left side. The instruments with a six-digit production number have a date stamp next to the number stamp on the mounting base (see photo below). If we assume that the numbers within the blocks were assigned chronologically, we can calculate a total of 44.445 built AA Bandoneons. From many detailed analyzes of technical aspects one can assume, however, that the numbers were not assigned strictly chronologically.
